Astrology: Aries is considered assertive, confident, adventurous, courageous, and suited for leadership. Aries is the first house of the Western Zodiac, associated with personal identity, ambitions, and outward persona.

In Celtic Tree Astrology the Fox is associated with the sign of Alder for those born March 18- April 14.
Blackberry brambles are associated with the sign of the Vine for those born September 2-29.

Zoology: Foxes are known for being clever, bold hunters, and have come in to conflict with humans by raiding poultry farms. They are also omnivores and will also eat blackberries and other plants, which benefit from the foxes transferring their seeds to new locations. Foxes store excess food in caches, often buried under bushes like the blackberry, whose thorns will protect their food store from other scavengers. Foxes will also use leaves when building their nests before their kits are born.

Herbalism & Magic: Blackberry bushes grow long, thorny canes that overlap to form brambles. Small animals will use these brambles as protective shelter since they make it difficult for predators to chase or attack. While the thorns of the blackberry are very sharp, the bushes also produce lovely white flowers and delicious purple berries, which are a food source for foxes, birds, deer, bears, and people.

Folklore: Foxes appear in folklore across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas, most often as tricksters. The fox overcomes conflicts by using his cunning, confidence and wits rather than physical power. In Chinese and Japanese folklore foxes can grow up to nine tails, which display their age and supernatural powers.
